Growing in Holiness in the Power of the Holy Spirit - Listening to the Holy Spirit. Part 1 and Part 2

This is a two set CD series covering the secret to growing in holiness - Listening and being obedient to the Holy Spirit. This inspiring CD is a classic "How to Grow in the Spiritual Life" talk. You will learn specific guidelines to following the will of God.

This talk by Leo Fasciocco of the Apostolate of Prayer in the Holy Spirit is rich in stories and experiences. He traces the followers of Jesus from His Blessed Mother to St. Francis of Assisi down to our modern day with St. Mother Theresa of Calcutta. These were people who prayed, listened and followed the Holy Spirit.

Leo points out the critical importance of prayer and fasting. He notes that one needs to pray, listen to the Holy Spirit, discern inspirations and then act. It is then that the power of the Holy Spirit will move with signs and wonders. One must be "Obedient to the Holy Spirit."

Putting on the Armor of God - Spiritual Warfare

This is a one set CD that is a must listen.. This talk by Leo Fasciocco covers the basic points of Spiritual Warfare and how to cope with "the enemy." It also has the inspiriing true story about the possessed boy from St. Louis whose story was the source of the Hollywood movie "The Exorcist."

Leo gives all the details of this great and inspiring story of the triumph of the power of the Holy Spirit working through priests through the prayer of exorcism to free a 14 year old boy of bondage. Jesus passes on his Holy Spirit to the Apostles and to us. Leo explains how by praying and listening and acting on the word from the Lord how one will experience signs and wonders in one's life. Not only that he says keep a diary and you will see a pattern of these wonders taking place and it will build your faith.

In Mark Chapter 9 vs. 23, Jesus says, "Everything is possible to a man who trusts.

Leo points out in this presentation how the Holy Spirit worked in the lives of the saints and his life. He says a lot of people today are blind to the signs and wonders. The more that we grow to the close of God then we will see the signs and wonders.

The Holy Spirit empowers us to bring the power of signs and wonders to help bring people into the loving light of Jesus Christ. Leo says that each Christian is called to work with the Holy Spirit to help others.

He talks especially about the charismatic gift of faith (trust) and explains how a Christian can be open to this movement of the Holy Spirit. Many people know others who are in despirate need both in their personal and spiritual lives. These instructions will guide you to ways that will give you confidence in the Holy Spirit to help them.

Leo stresses the point that the power of the Holy Spirit was not just given to the early Church, but each of us today. He prays that all will be filled with the light and be in close union with all the angles and saints.

Spiritual Fitness - Your Fitness Program

In this great CD, one learns the rudiments of setting up a spiritual fitness program. Leo shows and gives advice on how to send up ones "spiritual workout schedule." He points out that one must set aside specific time to pray and listen to the Holy Spirit. That is a must to be a follower of Jesus Christ.

Leo recognizes that people are busy today. However, he stresses that if one sets aside time to pray they will build their "spiritual muscle." God is Love is the foundation that inspires each Christian to repond to Jesus with time to love.

If you are spiritually fit, you will live in peace and signs and wonders will work through you. He points out that some people are not spiritually fit. They offer just "lip service."

Leo shows how in ancient times athletes worked hard to win a perishible crown at the olympics. Today, basketball players, football players and fashion models worked hard in their training to make lots of money.

However, he says Christians should "work hard" to win an imperishible crown.

Leo points out that some of the great "spiritual athletes" today are Pope Benedict and Phoenix bishop Thomas Olmsted.

The Spiritual Athlete - Maintaining Your Spiritual Strength

It is important to have a specific "spiritual training schedule" It is easy for our life to get overrun with activity. Leo strongly suggests morning prayer citing the suggests of St. Theresa of Avila's writing and those of St. Francis de Sales.

He notest that if one does not pray for two or three days one will easily loose their spiritual sharpness. Just like physical athletes, spiritual athlets need to keep in good shape.

He gives a form that one can fill out specific times to try to go to church and pray and do other good works.

The Holy Spirit will inspire and guide us as to how we can please the Father in our times of worship.

After listening to this two part - Spirtual Fitness workshop you will have good insight as to how important it is for today's Christian to remain in good shape by being in tune with the Holy Spirit. He strongly suggests reciving the Eucharist and making prayers of repentence to keep us humble.
