   Welcome to "Jesus Christ is the Lord." We are here to serve and share the goodness of the Lord - Jesus Christ.

Jesus Christ came that all men might have life and have it to the full. We believe that Jesus Christ wants all people to experience his love and his sanctifying work that comes through the power of the Holy Spirit.

The Holy Spirit works in all kinds of ways to bring light to a person. All one needs to do is ask!

Some years ago, I was in Santa Monica, Ca., playing chess at the local club. A burly fellow came in and asked if I wanted to play.

 I said, okay. After a few games, the fellow looked up at me and said: "You're a Christian. Aren't you? I replied, Yes, I am. He said to me I want to know more about this guy Jesus Christ.

   I thought for a moment and prayed. I realized all this fellow wanted to do was argue theology. I said to him no, I am not going to talk to you about Jesus Christ. If you want to know him, go home, go into your bedroom, kneel down and pray from your heart: "Jesus, I want to know who you are."

                       God hears the cry of the humble. He answers their prayers.

    At the heart of the spiritual life, is the simple truth that we of ourselves can do nothing. We need to pray and ask the Holy Spirit, the spirit of Truth, to open us up to receive the graces of God. TheLord wants those who pray to pray in Spirit and Truth.

  He sees through us like a glass of water. He knows everything about us. All we need to do is to be perfectly honest in our prayer.

    At Jesus Christ is The Lord we seek to bring all people to know Jesus Christ and to meet him in a personal way through prayer, or though any event that may open one's spirit to the light.

    We also seek to help those growing in the spiritto learn how to make a deeper walk.

   The key to sanctity are in the words made by the mother of Jesus, the Blessed Virgin Mary, when she said told the Angel Gabriel: "May it be done unto me as you have said."

     Discerning the Holy Spirit and being Obedient

    A mature Christian, needs to first discern the Holy Spirit and second be obedient to the Holy Spirit. One needs to die to their own self-will and be open to the will and workings of the Holy Spirit. 

   Then the gifts and charism's of the Holy Spirit will be at work witnessing to the most important truth of the world - That Jesus Christ has died, is risen and will come again. Jesus will bring salvation and eternal life to all who proclaim his name and repent of all wrongs.

    There are many prayer styles. The prayer of the heart, the contemplative Jesus centering prayer, the sinner's prayer, and the Rosary just to name a few. Jesus wants to bless us in all kinds of ways throughthe workings of his Holy Spirit.

   The Prayer Room is just for that - meeting Jesus in prayer, whether it be via recitation, meditation or contemplation, or seeking a request or a healing.

   The Spiritual Teachings are a collection of lessons from many Christian inspirational speakers from all through the ages down to our present time. The Christian Sermons are a collection of moving talks given by religious leaders, pastors or ministers both now and in the past.
